Deep Tissue Massage

$110 per hr...rate is variable over 1 hr

I do Deep Tissue work in a gentle way...many clients will sleep through a session. however, in the first couple of sessions open communication during the work is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable.

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve pain and tension in the deeper layers of the body's tissue. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misuse, misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries.

Keep in mind that soreness may occur after the treatment, and that perhaps epsom salt baths along with drinking plenty of water may be indicated to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissues during the session.

Movement Education

$110 per hr...rate is variable over 1 hr

Everyone's body is different.

Movement education uses a custom-tailored approach to improving your body awareness and movement skills. Combining problem-solving, guided-discovery, and exploratory methods, this practice inevitably leads to a stronger connection between the mind and body, creating an easier, lighter, more natural and graceful experience of your body, its' habits, postures and movement patterns.

Myofascial Release

$110 per hr...rate is variable over 1 hr

I use a combination of the direct and indirect Myofascial Release techniques in my work.

Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy intended to rebalance the entire body thereby reducing or eliminating pain and increasing range of motion. I do this by using massage techniques to stretch the fascia and release the bonds that exist between the fascia, muscles and bones. (Fascia is the connective tissue that connects and covers all muscles, organs, and skeletal structures of the body).  Indirect release applies light pressure and gently stretches the fascia; this allows for increased blood circulation and reduced pain. Direct myofascial release is sometimes known as deep tissue work and utilizes slow, deep pressured points and strokes in conjunction with the client's breath & movements.

Neuromuscular Therapy

$110 per hr...rate is variable over 1 hr

People's body can change from day to day so I work with what is in front of me...therefore no 2 sessions are exactly the same even if they are on the same person's body.

Neuromuscular therapy enhances the function of joints and muscles, and accelerates the overall healing process by facilitating the release of endorphins. Neuromuscular therapy utilizes a holistic approach towards healing, thereby emphasizing and stimulating the body's natural ability to heal itself.

Orthopedic Massage

$110 per hr...rate is variable over 1 hr

My goal is to help you restore full health to the soft tissues of your body, by both treating your specific conditions as well as improving your overall body usage and well-being.

Orthopedic massage is a style of massage therapy focused on treating painful conditions that affect the soft tissues of the body. It involves releasing tense muscles & trigger points, helping to stretch and lengthen tight muscles and tendons, and decompress rigid joints. (Orthopedic massage is designed to treat medical conditions, thus it requires extensive training.)

Integrational massage

$110.00 per hr...rate is variable over 1 hr

I primarily do Deep-Tissue work in a gentle way...applying Alexander & Feldenkrais principles to the myofascial work...many people find it gentle enough to sleep through much of the session.

Integrational Massage is a mixture of many kinds of massage that together help me to integrate the techniques used with the client's needs.

Kinesiotaping / CKTP+, FMT1

$30. - 60.00 per -varies with # of tape sites

Kinesio tape is an adhesive cotton athletic tape with an elasticity that allows it to stretch imageup to 140% of its original length & still allow movement. This flexible athletic tape is claimed to reduce swelling, pain and muscle spasms as well as improve posture and scar flexibility. Invented in the 1970's by Japanese chiropractor, Dr.Kenzo Kase, whose taping techniques has been used by sports medicine professionals world-wide.

Kinesiotape is worn not only by athletes but by all types of people in order to reduce pain & swelling while experiencing more balanced movement. It is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process and to prolong the benefits of hands-on therapy received in the clinic. Most people seek treatment for muscle imbalances, the application of the tape will allow for the muscles to be retrained even when not specifically performing exercises; by clients simply doing their everyday tasks. The tape targets the receptors for pain, temperature, joint position, and pressure which helps to re-educate the muscles on how they are supposed to be functioning; i.e. by alleviating compression & pain, correcting movement patterns, draining fluid & reducing scar immobility. It can be worn for approximately a week (you are able to shower with it on and perform activities as normal).

Trigger Point Therapy

$110 per hr...rate is variable over 1 hr

Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing \"trigger points\" in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of contracted muscle fibers that occur in the belly of the muscle (similar to acupressure points), except they can refer pain & tension to other muscles rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These \"knots\" are built up throughout a person's life due to physical adaptations people make due to pain or restricted movement habits or patterns, as well as mental, or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques in order to release the taut, contracted tissue that comprise your trigger points. This process may be painful at times, but is kept at a minimum. The effects are lasting and profoundly transformative.
